Visit to Lal Bagh Palace, Indore

Lal Bagh Palace, Indore

Palace and museum show history, ancient culture, and it also represents the way people lived. A Palace mostly shows luxury lives of those rich and well established families and rulers of that time.

Recently it was a visit to a palace called, Lal Bagh Palace in Indore. Its architecture outside is common, not much attractive from outside like other place's and museum's But Architecture inside the palace is really beautiful.

Side view of the Palace

The palace is sign of Holkar rulers who ruled this region. It was built by Tukoji rao and shivaji rao belongs to holkar dynasty. Its construction started 1844 and end upto 1903 ad.

After taking tickets we headed inside. The palace has big entry gates.  At the entry gate we have to put our mobile and camera, as camera and cellphones are not allowed inside the palace. Its well finished palace and it gives a royal look. Walls are painted with bright colours. after a few footsteps, it was a Dining hall, where one thing i found attractive was paintings at ceilings which was reflecting on a table on the floor. Some paintings depicts royal families portraits and queen which catches eyes of everyone. There are beautiful carvings on the walls which makes it different.

Another view

After this , another thing you will definitely like here is Statue's of tigers which looks like real. The skin of tiger was used to make these. The sharp teeth's and the skin fills it with reality. Though these are enclosed in a glass box for protection. If you are going there with kids, then they will surely like it. Length of the tiger is almost 6 feet or even more.
(no pictures)

Then when you will go up stairs, there are some other statues, antiques and different clocks. there were some meeting rooms and guest rooms which shows occasional gatherings of palace.

It takes about an hour maximum to visit the palace. Though there is a garden when you come out of the palace. This garden is filled with trees, and the statues of British rulers can be a good place to take selfie's. Here you can take pictures.

Statue in garden at lal bagh palace

As it was a Sunday, noise of children's playing cricket was encouraging me to play with them, as the palace is next to a ground. Maybe Next time!

Visiting time of this palace is 10 am to 5 pm and its closed on Monday.
You can know more about this city at 3 days in indore blog. If you like this post then make sure to comment below. If have any questions or want to know more feel free to keep in touch.

Another view of the palace

After this we headed to a zoo in indore city which was almost near to the palace. I found that this zoo is different from other one's i have visited because it gives much space to birds and animals which is very essential for them. It gives them a natural atmosphere, which is very nice.

White peacock

Elephant at the zoo

Red Parrot

There were many animals and some beautiful birds too. If you love birds and animals then this may be a nice place to visit in the city. The best thing i like here is white color peacock whose voice attracted me towards them.

An Unknown Turn

Hey ! Few days ago i was going somewhere via an highway. In this blog i am going to share what i see there.

an unknown location
Unknown Location

It was a Sunday morning. I woke up at 5 and left home at 6. It was a ride on my bike. I was alone that morning. When i was passing through that highway, i saw some unique rock like structures that i hadn't seen before near that city. then after having a look at this, i took a turn without thinking about this.

After this turn on the way, i didn't found such structures even after covering around a kilometre. There was no one whom i can ask about it. it was a forest area surround with green trees. After this i found that structure that i was looking for.

As i found what i was searching so I took a deep breath. I was feeling good that finally i reached but it was like one face of a coin. I can see that place on a height but i couldn't find route to reach on the top. Though i took some pictures and selfies there. so it was worth going there. I felt those landscapes near to me that was awesome.

All these things like Nature, some unique structures and that turn made my day much better than usual boring days. that's the only reason i like to go some new and unknown places sometimes.

There were many Black Plum (Jamun) trees so some kids were throwing pebbles to get some jamun's. But i didn't like this as it may harm anyone visiting garden. but, who cares.

Beautiful Flamingo's wishing Good Morning

Flamingo is a bird which comes in phoenicopteridae family. There are six kinds of flamingo's. All comes in the same family.

This morning i visited a place near to my hometown. I found Flamingo and some other species of migrating birds. These are beautiful birds. Flamingos are White and pink, some are shaded with grey. I also found some other black birds there.

This is really a nice experience to keep in touch with these flamingos and other birds. It's gives a nice feeling . I visited this at 6.30 AM this morning. It took about half an hour to reach there.

It was worth to see them but it was not as i expected, because distance was much. As it was a big lake and flamingos were at far distances so it was not easy to take pictures clearly. Though i took some.

This lake is near to agriculture farms. A farmer suggested me to take pictures from his farm as it was a bit near to lake than i was. Helpful of him.

Types of Flamingo's :

  1. American flamingo
  2. Andean flamingo
  3. Chilean flamingo
  4. Greater flamingo
  5. Lesser flamingo
  6. Puna (James's) flamingo

These are types of flamingos.

Nature of Flamingo :

These are birds which are not familiar with humans. These keep in touch with ducks, Black birds and other flamingo breeds. When we goes nearly to them they fly away. Even if you are much away with these they let know and goes away of you.

Where You can find flamingo's :

These are mostly found near lakes. But these are a bit uncommon. Not found in most of the lakes.
In India, Gujarat is home of Flamingo's, but in some other states these can be found according to season.

Some other birds i found

Camel Ride At Pushkar In Ajmer

Pushkar is known for Camel fair and its rich culture. This fair is generally organised in months of november. Riding a camel maybe a great experience in Pushkar.

Camel Ride is one of the best experiences i had. There is a large difference between riding a motor bike or a luxury car And riding a camel. I don't have much words to experience this.

Camel is mostly found in Rajasthan. Around 70 Percent of camels are found in Rajasthan in total camel of Rajasthan. So You can found camels easily in almost all tourist cities of rajasthan.  Rajasthan is a home of Camels.

When i headed to Pushkar i didn't thought of this but when i saw someone riding it, i felt something to have this feel. that's the only reason i did this.

When i sat on its back, i felt good as it was in sitting position. But when it stood up it made me feeling nervous as it bent too much in forward side. After this it started walking on the way. It was good at starting but after a few minutes it started running and the caretaker of this camel was a kid (around 13) who was going away of it, so it felt me a bit worried.

As it crossed nearby areas and then comes a sand areas so it was very nice to ride it there. This is the only animal which can run on sand without getting much tired.

Horses are also available for ride in pushkar so its up to you what is preferable. Though you can take pictures.

Which Places I Visited during this Ride:

Rose farms, A Haveli (Used for a bollywood film shooting- Karan Arjun) , and A desert.

There are rose farms in Pushkar so next time whenever you go there you can buy Gulkand(made of Rose petals) from pushkar market. You can also take some great shots and selfies in desert sand areas of Pushkar during your camel ride, as its a bit far from pushkar town. This desert sand area gives you a feel like Thar Desert of Jodhpur and Jaisalmer.

Cost of Ride:

Its cost depends up to time you visit. I visited this in month of January. It cost me around 300 Rupees for a 20-25 minute ride. This may vary accordingly so don't bargain much.

Best time to Visit:

I will prefer to visit this place in either start of winter or start of summer. i.e. months of September-October or January-February. But its up to you, as suitable.

how to go for a trip alone

Travel alone gives many experiences. Its very nice to travel alone.

Few days ago i went on a trip to delhi and punjab. I was alone that time. It is not easy to go alone to a place you don't know. isn't it? But It gives many experiences which are useful.
I booked ticket from my hometown for delhi. During this i met many peoples. They were good and bad both. There are many kind of persons you meet whenever you go alone.

As my ticket was confirmed it was good for me. I picked up train at about 11 pm and reached delhi at 5 am. It was around 6 hours in train. Everyone knows condition of indian railways. though its not as bad as it was before but for someone who is not habitual with this its a bit differnt.
Travel in train is much better than any other mediums. It was chetak express which is a superfast express train.

When i reached there i found crowd than i expected. As it is Delhi, which is one of most crowded cities in India. One thing i learnt in new delhi is that "Always beware of pickpocketers" and another thing is "Never ever believe anyone, person standing next to you may be a thieve or may harm you".
These are two things which you should always keep in mind whenever planning to visit.

If have any good or bad experiences during visiting new places  , You can share your experiences on Guest post sections of this blog. If have any suggestions regarding this post, then you can comment below to let me know. thanks

Red Fort In New Delhi

Red Fort is one of the fort made by mughal emperors. It was being made in seventeenth century. It was the place from where king of whole ancient India lived and ruled the whole country.

History :

It was built by Shah Jahan in around 1639 AD when capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. This was built with Red stones so its called Red fort. This Fort have Importance as its located in Capital of India and it was used by Mughal's for ruling the country.

About This :

At present every year on Republic day and independence day Indian national flag is hoisted at Red fort , New delhi. President and Prime minister also joins the celebration So it has importance all over India.

My Experiences :

When i entered Red fort i was amazed at its unique construction. It has beautiful architecture which is made in Mughal culture. Its art is a bit similar to forts in Rajashthan which has glazed dome at top of the building or a place which gives it a Mughal architecture look similar to amber fort and some other forts of Rajasthan which are combination of Indo-Islamic architecture.

Now after looking at it from outside , i went to ticket window and took a ticket. Cost of this ticket was 30 Rs. and 5 Rs. extra for Museum. So i took a ticket of both fort and museum for 35 Rs. As i had a travel bag so i placed my bag at treasury room which cost me 10 Rs.

Now i headed to visit this place. Some parts of this fort was under maintenance. Though it doesn't affect its beauty. As it was around 9 AM so crowd was not much , that was good for me to feel it.

There are different Mahals which have different structures like a unique building with some arhitectural structures. There are gardens in this fort which maybe peaceful to relax and take some rest. I sat there and took a break , as i was tired. Though there are no ups and downs in this fort and palace but i was tired of long travel time.

After some time i headed to visit more of this. Again there were some mahals which were under maintenance and it was not allowed to enter in some of them. You can see it from outside as it is open from all sides.

Museum :

After all of this i went to museum which is inside red fort boundary i.e. just near to gates of red fort. So After you have visited this fort you can visit museum. This Museum is nice afterall. There are some antiques which were being used in early centuries. There are arms, soldier dress, and some sword and many other too. I also found Swords , knives , shields of soldiers and weapons too. I was surprised at those weapons that they too had those guns and such weapons at that time. These ancient antiques shows how they fought for there country or a region and how they survived in that time for there self respect. It shows how they lived there lfe by facing many wars with their enemies. After all this is a place where you can know many things about history and ancient culture. This is a great historical place.

This is a trip for those also who don't like to know much about history as it has a garden and some places where you can take great pictures. so its not just history , you can learn many things from this place.

When i completed my visit, there were some shops near to entry gate where i bought a cap as i forgot my cap at home. It's cool. isn't it?

This is all i have seen in this fort.

How to reach red fort :

Reaching to new delhi is easy as it is capital of India so almost all cities are connected directly. It is located in centre of India so you can reach here by source of transportation via bus, train or plane whatever affordable for you.

I reached there by train but as my reservation was not confirm so it was hard to paas that travel time. If planning to visit by train then make sure to book atleast one month before your journey date.

Its also well connected with other major cities and countries by air routes.

Cost:

It cost me around 45 Rs. I paid 35 for both Fort and Museum and 10 for placing bag in  treasury room.

Attractions :

  • Museum at Red fort
  • Garden to relax (Inside fort)

Video :

I think this is one of nice places i have visited. I shared as much as i could though if you have any doubts about this place or planning to visit this place then feel free to ask below in comment box.

Thank you.
